This terrific red tomato was developed by Anthony Neves, who brought seeds from the Azores to the Boston area. There he kept selecting for larger size, resulting in a huge, beautiful beefsteak with 1 to 3 lb. deep red fruit bursting with magnificent, rich flavor. Seed was passed on to Carolyn Male, who shared it with us. This very big and flavorful tomato is perfect for the ultimate tomato sandwich or to showcase in a special tomato salad.
